The project involved converting the existing three-story, 91,000sf building into a fully modernized facility, with the second and third floors expanded to house 210,000sf dedicated entirely to Women’s Hospital functions.Located at El Camino Health’s flagship Mountain View campus, the first phase of the remodel—the Orchard Pavilion for Women’s and Newborn Services—included a new neonatal intensive care unit with 19 private rooms and an expanded maternity unit with 26 beds and updated equipment. Later phases of the project included an expanded labor-and-delivery area, an obstetrical emergency department, and recovery units. Renovations also refreshed the mother-baby units on the pavilion’s first floor and updated the remaining labor and delivery rooms.Truebeck extends its gratitude to El Camino Health and all of our partners who helped bring this impactful project to life: ACCO Engineered Systems, CSI Electrical Contractors, Inc., Estructure, Harrison Drywall Inc., HDR Architecture, Bay City Mechanical, and Cammisa + Wipf Consulting Engineers.
