Truebeck’s Team for Tomorrow Volunteers on National Rebuilding Day

On April 25th, Truebeck’s Team for Tomorrow volunteers partnered with Rebuilding Together Peninsula for National Rebuilding Day, supporting improvements at Bunker Hill Nursery School in San Mateo — a nonprofit dedicated to play-based preschool programs for early childhood development.

Since 1989, Rebuilding Together Peninsula has provided essential renovation and repair services for vulnerable homeowners and community facilities across the Peninsula. Guided by a “Neighbors Helping Neighbors” philosophy, the organization and its volunteers enhance the safety and livability of approximately 130 structures each year.
Truebeck’s involvement spanned two weekends. Volunteers kicked off the effort by removing Connex containers, demolishing the old woodshed, and preparing the playground fence for painting. On the main event day, the team painted approximately 600 linear feet of fencing, assembled new benches and stepping platforms, and assisted with landscaping and additional site improvements. Truebeck laborers and trade partners also handled carpentry, electrical upgrades, and restroom improvements on site.

The project was made possible with generous support from several partners: Premier Recycling donated a dumpster for both weekends and contributed a volunteer crew on site; Western Site Services donated portable restrooms; and Channel Lumber supplied the wood used along the exterior fencing. Truebeck thanks everyone who gave their time and resources to make this day a success.
