Pescadero Fire Station No. 59 Replacement

Pescadero, CA

Truebeck is delivering a ground-up replacement fire station for San Mateo County on a 1.75-acre site at 350–360 Butano Cut Off, co-located with the Pescadero Middle/High School campus. The new Station 59 relocates a critical CalFire facility out of a flood-prone site that suffered chronic seasonal inundation, moving first responders to higher ground where emergency response won’t be compromised by rising waters.

The project is exploring mass timber construction, reflecting San Mateo County’s commitment to sustainable, low-carbon public infrastructure.

The scope extends beyond the new building, encompassing a partial demolition of the existing Station 59 at 1200 Pescadero Creek Road — preserving the apparatus bay while removing the barracks — as well as a CSA-11 water service extension to serve both the new fire station and the adjacent school. This multi-faceted public safety project strengthens wildfire response capacity on California’s South Coast while delivering resilient, community-serving infrastructure built to last.
