200 Twin Life Science Development Wins Structures Award: Best Facade

Truebeck is thrilled to announce the 200 Twin life science development has won the Silicon Valley Structures Award for Best Facade.

Honorees are chosen through an independent editorial review, with selections based entirely on their merits, achievements and contributions to their organizations and local community. The full list of Silicon Valley Structures honorees for 2025 can be viewed here.200 Twin is a striking five-story lab and office building, paired with a dedicated 703-stall parking structure. The lab and office building’s defining feature is its dynamic sawtooth curtainwall and metal panel façade, culminating in a dramatic bullnose at the intersection of Twin Dolphin Drive and Shoreline. Though constructed with flat panels, the façade’s precise design and installation create the illusion of a gracefully curved form—an architectural and engineering feat that enhances the building’s presence.

Overhanging terraces offer sweeping views of nearby lakes and trails, while feature stairwells and a refined roof screen system echo the glass façade’s geometry, reinforcing the building’s cohesive design language.

The adjacent parking garage complements the main structure with a perforated metal panel system that artistically evokes the surrounding pine trees. This thoughtful design not only provides functional shading and ventilation, but also visually connects the campus to the natural beauty of the Bay Trail.

Together, the striking glass façade—with its stepped terrace transitions and seamless bullnose—and the garage’s sculptural, nature-inspired cladding form a landmark project in Silicon Valley.Truebeck congratulates the entire project team on this award win.
