Truebeck Recognized as a Top Corporate Philanthropist

Truebeck takes philanthropy seriously. Doing good for others and making a powerful impact on our community is an expression of our values, as a business and as people. We have a deep desire to enact change - that's why our community program is called Team for Tomorrow. This program gives every employee the opportunity to serve others, achieve meaningful work, and experience the joy of giving. Led by a 12-person committee, Team for Tomorrow supports advancing the initiatives for workforce training, health, education, youth and the environment.
Every month Truebeck provides 2-3 (sometimes more) opportunities for employees to volunteer or contribute to a cause. In 2016, we held 24 philanthropic events for Second Harvest Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House, Surfrider Foundation, Organs R Us, San Francisco Suicide Prevention, Sequoia Foundation, My New Red Shoes, San Francisco Children's Book Project, Catholic Charities, Mike Tolbertson Memorial Family Trust, St. Jude Children's Hospital, Leap Arts in Education, Movember Foundation, Family Giving Tree, and the Santa Clara Foster & Adoptive Parent Association. This year, Truebeck has 32 charity focused events planned, maintaining last year's charities with the addition of Positive Coaching Alliance, Rebuilding Together, Autism Speaks, and the Navy Seal Foundation.
For each event or cause, we have actionable involvement, not just monetary donations. For example, our participation with the Ronald McDonald House at Stanford grew from varied event sponsorships to a full-fledged monthly program where our volunteers host a craft and cooking project for the children and families staying at the House. Additionally, we hold an annual Movember Foundation Fundraiser & Awards Night, in which dozens of employees grow mustaches for the month of November raising awareness and funds for men's health, particularly prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide. In 2014, we raised $8,364; in 2015 we raised $15,904; and in 2016 we had 41 participants and raised $27,493.
These Team for Tomorrow programs truly demonstrate Truebeck's robust culture of corporate philanthropy and our commitment to the welfare of others. For Truebeck, the goal is not simply to be good corporate citizens, but to influence giving, promote volunteerism, foster a culture of thoughtful, ongoing service, and improve local communities.
On July 19th, Truebeck will find out where we rank on the list at the Corporate Philanthropy Awards Summit. All of the companies on the list will be recognized, and philanthropy leaders will share their stories on social responsibility and impacting communities. We look forward to an inspiring evening!
